Standard Terms & Conditions

By signing the registration card or confirming a booking, you warrant that you are duly authorised to sign for and bind all persons represented by you, or for whom you are responsible (“your party”), to these conditions of residence. Failing such authority, you agree to be personally liable for all amounts arising from the residence of yourself and your party at the hotel.

You and your party agree to pay, no later than departure (unless prior written arrangements have been made with management), the room rate as determined by Redlands Hotel, together with the cost of food, beverages, and any other charges incurred during your stay. Any amounts not settled prior to departure will be charged to the guest’s credit card provided at check-in.

1. Liability

By occupying or being present on the premises, you agree that Redlands Hotel, its staff, management, agents, and contractors shall not be liable for any accident, bodily injury, or loss/damage to property of any guest, whether caused by negligence or otherwise.

You indemnify Redlands Hotel against any claims brought by persons accompanying you, including minors and disabled persons.

2. Check-In & Check-Out

Check-in time: 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM

  • Early check-in not available

  • Late check-in not available

Minimum check-in age: 18 years

Check-out time: 10:00 AM

  • Late check-out not available

3. Cancellation & No-Show Policy

72-Hour Cancellation:

  • Travellers who cancel 72 hours or more before 6:00 PM CAT on the day of check-in are charged no fee.

  • Travellers who cancel less than 72 hours before 6:00 PM CAT on the day of check-in, including no-shows, are charged 100% of the booking amount.

  • Non-Refundable / Custom Policies:

    • Some bookings may be fully non-refundable, including no-shows.

    • Travelers who cancel less than the specified time (e.g., 30 days for certain policies) are charged 100% of the booking amount.

4. Payments & Accepted Methods

Credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express (no fee)

  • Debit cards: Accepted

  • Cash: Accepted

  • Bookings without a credit card:

    • Same-day bookings accepted when rooms are available

    • Next-day bookings accepted when rooms are available

  • Payments for Expedia bookings are handled via Expedia virtual card (EVC) or bank transfer. Amount paid includes the base rate.

5. Licensed Premises

Redlands Hotel is a licensed establishment. Only food and beverages purchased on-site may be consumed. Corkage fees may apply for outside beverages brought into the hotel.

6. Smoking Policy

All guest rooms are strictly non-smoking. A cleaning fee of R1,500 will be added to the guest account for any smoking inside the room.

7. Room Key Replacement

Lost or unreturned room keys will incur a replacement fee of R750.

8. Parking Disclaimer

Vehicles are parked at the owner’s risk. Redlands Hotel and its staff cannot be held liable for loss or damage to vehicles, however caused.

9. Damage & Vandalism

Guests are responsible for any damage, breakages, or vandalism caused to hotel property. Costs will be charged to the guest account at the discretion of management.
